MATTHEW E. PORTER
CEO and Co-Founder
Matthew Porter, Chief Executive Officer at Contegix, co-founded the award winning managed hosting, cloud computing and colocation service provider. Contegix is widely recognized throughout the industry for delivering reliable hosting with expert support to drive customer value. During his tenure, the company’s revenue has grown consistently, year over year. In addition to its financial growth, the organization that began as a two-person team, now employees over 50 people in Saint Louis, Missouri. Porter continues to drive innovation, promote rapid organizational growth and foster the core values of Contegix by empowering employees, partners and customers.
Before founding Contegix, Porter served as Director of Professional Services for Demand Management Inc. (DMI) in Saint Louis. At DMI, Porter built a team of senior developers and consultants to implement the next-generation of enterprise supply chain management. Porter has also held the position of Senior Application Developer for World Wide Technology and senior engineering positions at TelcoBuy.com and IBM Global Services.
Recently, Porter was inducted into the 2010 John Cook School of Business Smurfit-Stone Entrepreneurial Hall of Fame as the “Under 40 Entrepreneur” at Saint Louis University. The Saint Louis Business Journal has named Porter both “30 Under 30” in 2007 and “40 Under 40” in 2012. Porter currently serves on the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Board. Porter previously served as a board member for Entrepreneurs Organization (EO) Saint Louis where he coaches and mentors early-stage entrepreneurs. Porter also sits on the Advisory Board for a select number of startups, including Bonfyre.
Porter was educated at Saint Louis University, where he earned his B.S. in Applied Computer Science. Porter, his wife and three children, reside in Saint Charles, Missouri.
CTO and Co-Founder
Craig McElroy, Chief Technology Officer at Contegix, co-founded the award winning managed hosting, cloud computing and colocation service provider. At Contegix, McElroy’s mission is to empower business owners and managers, allowing them to invest more heavily in product innovation, talent acquisition and other business tools needed to gain a competitive edge in their respective industries. McElroy is responsible for the company’s continuous growth through guiding and planning rapid innovation on Contegix’s offerings. McElroy builds on core service capabilities in the areas of traditional managed hosting; cloud infrastructure as a Service and enterprise applications management. He is also responsible for fostering strategic industry partnerships to implement additional capabilities at Contegix. These contributions enable Contegix to provide customers with cost effective solutions to a wide variety of unique business needs. In 2014, McElroy was named one of the “40 Under 40″ by the St. Louis Business Journal.
Before founding Contegix, McElroy served as Senior Software Engineer for Demand Management Inc. (DMI) in Saint Louis. At DMI, McElroy specialized in database design and optimization for the next-generation of enterprise supply chain management. McElroy has also served as a Senior Database Administrator and Senior Applications Developer at World Wide Technology. McElroy also obtained valuable system and database administration experience through his service at Medicus Systems Corp and Union Pacific Railroad.
McElroy attended the University of Missouri in Saint Louis, Missouri, where he earned his B.S. in Computer Science.
McElroy spends his free time cycling, running, riding his motorcycle and enjoys spending time with his wife and children.
Mike Wylie, Chief Financial Officer at Contegix, is responsible for the accounting and finance functions of the company. Mike’s responsibilities include leading the company’s financial planning and analysis areas and providing financial reports to company owners and managers.
Prior to Contegix, Mike was the CFO of Pulse Broadband, a consulting firm enabling fiber-to-the-home in rural America. Prior to Pulse Broadband, Mike was the Executive Vice President and CFO of Broadstripe, a cable and telecommunications company. Before Broadstripe, he held the position of Chief Accounting Officer at Suddenlink Communications. While at Suddenlink, Mike facilitated the acquisition and accounting integration of approximately $4 billion in acquisitions, comprising over 30 transactions. Mike started his career in the audit division of Arthur Andersen where the majority of his assignments were with telecommunications companies, including Millennium Digital Media, which he ultimately joined as Corporate Controller.
Mike has a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Missouri and a Master of Business Administration from the Olin School of Business at Washington University. He is a licensed CPA and a former member of the Finance and Accounting Committee of the National Cable Television Association.
Mike, his wife, and two children reside in Wildwood, MO where he enjoys watching his children play sports and cycling.
Vice President of Sales & Marketing
Tom Prindiville, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at Contegix, is responsible for leading the Sales and Account Management teams while also developing and executing the overall Marketing strategy for the company. Tom’s Marketing responsibilities include developing brand messaging, promotional strategies, partner alliances, corporate communications, market research and creating the company’s annual Marketing plan and budget.
Before joining Contegix, Tom served as the North American, E-Commerce Creative/Marketing Manager for New Balance Athletic Shoe. In that role, Tom led his department in the development of e-commerce, retail store and event marketing initiatives for the global shoe manufacturer. Prior to that, Tom spent nearly 17 years at Anheuser-Busch, Inc. in their Brand Management division culminating his Executive career as the Group Manager of Consumer Marketing. During his tenure at Anheuser-Busch, Tom held roles of increasing responsibility in areas such as Sports & TV Media, Merchandising, Global Digital Marketing and E-Business Marketing.
Tom was educated at the University of Missouri, where he earned an M.B.A. in Management and also a B.A. in Political Science, International Relations.
Tom, his wife, and three children reside in Columbia, IL. where he enjoys running, coaching, and spending quality time with his family and friends.
Vice President of Operations
Dominic Lozano, Vice President of Operations, Project Management, and Innovation at Contegix, is responsible for strategically analyzing all aspects of the business for opportunities that will aid in product, process, and organizational growth.
Prior to joining Contegix, Dominic served as the Director of Operations at Nimbus EMR, a local start-up developing innovative long-term care EMR software. Throughout his time at Nimbus EMR, Dominic made significant contributions towards building the organizations, processes, and tools required for the operation of the business. In addition, he managed the daily operation of the support and implementation organizations.
Before that, Dominic spent time at SAVVIS, A CenturyLink Company, where he worked in multiple capacities ranging from support management to Automation Center BA. There, Dominic helped start and build a grass roots effort that identified and implemented significant tool and process enhancements.
Dominic, his wife, and his two children reside in St. Louis, MO where he enjoys playing music, woodworking, running, fishing, and spending time with his family.
Executive Advisor, Cybersecurity & Compliance
Dean VandeKamp, Executive Advisor on Cybersecurity and Compliance at Contegix, is responsible for advising the company on current threats facing U.S. companies with a focus on business and cybersecurity outcomes in the following areas: complicate, detect, respond, educate and govern.
Dean is an accomplished senior executive with experience in early stage technology and global public companies, with extensive experience in cybersecurity at Fortune 100 companies. He currently serves as the CEO of Vitaligent. In addition, he also serves on the Audit Committee and as the Compensation Committee Chair for Mobius Therapeutics and advises various Cultivation Capital portfolio company boards on business strategy, executive compensation, finance, and operations. Dean has the designation of being a NACD Governance Fellow and a SEC Financial Expert.
Prior to his current roles, Dean spent over 27 years at Ernst & Young LLP (EY), where he was a Global Coordinating Partner for Fortune 500 companies and served as the North America National Director of the IT audit and security practice. He was a member of the global oversight board, responsible for the practice’s cybersecurity strategy, growth, people, quality and operations. Further, as a Certified Fraud Examiner, he consulted on intrusion detection and response efforts for various targeted attacks.
Dean received his MBA at the University of Colorado – Denver, and his undergraduate double major in Accounting / Information Systems at Dordt College. He has achieved the following certifications: Certified Public Accountant, Certified Fraud Examiner, and Certified Information Systems Auditor. He has remained active with charitable organization work and industry association affiliations throughout his career.
