Operations Coordinator
Contegix is currently seeking an Operations Coordinator. The Operations Coordinator is expected to coordinate and oversee day to day datacenter operations tasks. This individual is expected to be the point person for handling inventory, customer order processing, and overall environment build-outs.
Requirements:
- Associate's degree or Trade School certificate in a related field

Ruby / Java Developer
Contegix is looking for experienced, full-time Ruby/Java developer to learn and lead internal development and support for its Contegix Cloud (http://cloud.contegix.com) application. This is not a typical Rails app: our infrastructure integrates tightly with VMWare Infrastraucture on the back-end for its cloud capabilities and talks to the web front-end via messaging for long running operations. Your primary responsibility will be learning the system as quickly as possible and working on new features as we continue to improve the platform for 2010 and beyond.
Requirements:
- Ruby and Rails (emphasis on the Ruby)
- Java/J2EE (required for integration with VMware)
- Writing simple, clear, communicative code
- Messaging based systems
- Building systems for high availability and high resiliency
- TDD, BDD, and integration testing (the codebase has an extensive RSpec/Cucumber suite)

Backup and Recover Specialist (CommVault)
Contegix is currently seeking a Backup and Recovery Specialist to join our team. The Specialist is expected to coordinate and oversee day to day management and operations of our CommVault infrastructure.

- Predominately responsible for entire backup and recovery infrastructure (hardware, software, etc) and the backup and recovery service we offer our clients
- Responsible for ensuring 100% availability of backup and recovery infrastructure
- Responsible for ensuring 100% availability of backup and recovery services to clients
- Completion of build out of backup and recovery physical infrastructure and migration from NetVault backup and recovery software to CommVault backup and recovery software
- Management of storage hardware and hands on experience with such equipment (JetStor SAN’s)
- Hands on experience with servers (physical and virtual)
- Hands on experience with Windows Server and Linux operating systems
- Ability to make recommendations for changes to the backup and recovery infrastructure through research and testing
- Ability to work with vendor support groups to resolve both hardware and software issues in an expedient manner
- Ability to assist clients with backup and recovery issues
- Ability to assist clients in developing backup and recovery strategies
- Responsible for documenting and maintaining entire backup and recovery infrastructure

- Development and management of processes and procedures for adding and removing clients from the backup system per contract changes and additions
- Ensuring contractual backup limits on a customer basis are not being exceeded and managing these overages per company policies
- Training internal support personnel on usage of CommVault for completing customer restores and basic troubleshooting

The successful candidate will provide complex technical services for our Linux managed hosting infrastructure and respond to the needs of customers. Other key responsibilities will include implementing, configuring and/or maintaining dedicated Linux servers in a high-availability environment. This position requires a candidate who shows self-initiative and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
