Matthew E. Porter : CEO and Co-Founder

Matthew Porter

Matthew Porter is co-founder and CEO of Contegix, the award-winning managed hosting provider with a hard-won reputation for reliable hosting, reasonable pricing and expert support that goes "Beyond Managed Hosting®." Under his leadership, Contegix has grown to become an award winning Internet infrastructure and hosting company. Porter maintains active involvement in all major efforts in the company from technology choices to continuously driving the values of Contegix, especially its passionate support.

 

Before founding Contegix, Porter served as Director of Professional Services for Demand Management Inc. (DMI) in Saint Louis. At DMI, Porter helped build a team of senior developers and consultants to implement the next-generation of enterprise supply chain management. Prior to DMI, Porter held the position of Senior Application Developer for World Wide Technology, where he first met Contegix Co-Founder Craig McElroy. Porter also previously held senior engineering positions at TelcoBuy.com and IBM Global Services.

 

In 2007, Porter was distinguished as a "30 Under 30" for the Saint Louis area. He serves as a board member for EO (Entrepreneurs Organization) Saint Louis where he coaches and mentors early-stage entrepreneurs. In addition, Porter currently sits on the Advisory Board for a select number of startups, including OffCampusMedia.

 

Porter has a B.S. in Applied Computer Science from Saint Louis University.

 

Craig A. McElroy : CTO and Co-Founder

Craig A. McElroy

Craig McElroy is co-founder and CTO of Contegix. McElroy guides the technology direction of Contegix and serves as a mentor to technical team leads in order to ensure the continued quality of the company's support.

 

McElroy served as Senior Software Engineer for Demand Management Inc. (DMI) in Saint Louis before founding Contegix, specializing in database design and optimization for the next-generation of enterprise supply chain management. Prior to DMI, McElroy held the positions of Senior Database Administrator and Senior Application Developer for World Wide Technology, where he first met Contegix Co-Founder Matthew Porter. McElroy also previously held Unix Systems Administration and Database Administration positions at Medicus Systems Corp. and Union Pacific Railroad.

 

McElroy has a B.S. in Computer Science from the University of Missouri -- Saint Louis.

 

Jim Drewes : Director of Key Accounts

Jim Drewes

Jim Drewes serves as the Director of Key Accounts for Contegix. With this role Drewes is responsible for developing account management within the organization, and to align Contegix's services with the unique needs of each of our customers. Drewes joined Contegix in 2008, bringing with him experience and education in I.T., management, and business development.

 

Prior to joining Contegix, Drewes was the Director of Strategic Services for a St. Louis based IT consulting firm. In this role Drewes grew the internal development team and managed a large portfolio of accounts.

 

Drewes obtained a B.S. in Computer Science from Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri, and an M.B.A. with an emphasis in I.T. Management from Webster University in St. Louis, Missouri.

 

Jason Smith : Director of Client Services

Jason Smith

Jason Smith is the Director of Client Services at Contegix. In this role, Smith is responsible for ensuring the quality of support provided by the Contegix engineering staff. This includes areas relating to client support such as quality control, staff development, and daily support operations. Smith became a member of the Contegix team in 2008 with technical experience and customer service experience in industries such as banking, retail, manufacturing, and health care.

 

Prior to joining Contegix, Smith functioned as an IT Director for a St. Louis based firm.

 

Smith has an M.B.A with an emphasis on business administration and international business from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri.
